Terrorism Threat Cancels Christmas Event

Over the last few years, Western Europe has had to deal with a huge wave of migration from the Middle East.

This has resulted in the people of Western Europe to change their way of life. The city of Lyon, France, because of this high population of immigrants has had to cancel their annual Christmas market. That’s because the cost of protection from terrorism is to high for them to afford. REALLY.

It would cost the city around $23,ooo to protect the event this year.

“This year, the cost of security would have reached nearly 20,000€. To at least balance our budget, we should have increased either the number of stands or the rental price of the sites (2 to 3,000€ per week),” a project manager with the Lyon Côté Croix-Rousse merchant’s association said.
